Objectively, what makes BC and AD more “sectarian” than Wednesday and Thursday?

In the opinion of AABCE, anyone who favors replacing BC and AD with BCE and CE should also favor ridding of the references to mythological deities in the days of the week (for example).

Why is a reference to “Christ” or “Our Lord” any more offensive or inappropriate on a worldwide scale than references to the Roman or Norse deities Woden (Wednesday), Thor (Thursday), Freya (Friday), etcetera? As with Common Era, there are alternatives readily available for the pagan days of the week, namely the neutralized days of the week created by the Quakers.

We’d like a thoughtful response to this question, preferably from an atheist.
